My Story
I became a stay-at-home mom after my son turned two years old. Five years later I welcomed a beautiful baby girl. With all the joy and excitement that filled my heart and our home, there was no way I could have imagined that within months my marriage would dissolve. I suddenly became Priestess, Provider, and Protector of a six-year-old and an eleven-month-old. Along my journey, I have become a divorcee, a caregiver for my aging mom, as well as a caretaker during my long fought illness, which at one point caused me to have to send my children away with relatives while I was being cared for. I have been a homeschooler to my son, and managed my teenage daughter while she was being “schooled from home”.
By God’s grace, my friends, and family, I’ve made it through. I am blessed to have real authentic friends with whom I could share my joy, truth, struggles, hurt, and laughter. Along my journey, my friends have shared lots of information, knowledge and wisdom during our conversations. These conversations have sustained, guided and comforted me so much so that in July 2020, I started my first podcast to share with others. Initially I assumed the podcast would be about encouraging parents, however, I quickly realized that there was so much more information that could be and needed to be shared with the world. Needless to say, none of the twelve podcasts were about parenting and raising children. However, the podcast always delivered information that informed encouraged and inspired the listeners, hence the inception of Informative Conversations. This podcast will continue to have conversations that inform, encourage, and inspire all listeners to become and continue to be their best. I’m sure you will enjoy these conversations.
Happy Listening,
Jacquelyn
